JULY 6, 2013 Dunedin Orange Festival

Celebrate the Orange!  Dunedin  has  a long history with oranges dating back from the early 1880’s to the early 1950’s.  The history of Oranges to Dunedin was reborn in 2009 when local artists began secretly painting “loose” oranges around town as part of public art. The response was huge and the Dunedin Orange Festival was born.
You can revisit Dunedin’s heritage in this fun filled day from 9am-unitl after dark.  Activities include live music, a hunt for “loose” oranges, crowning of the “Miss Dunedin Orange Queen”, kids activities, historical displays, Mojo cooking contest and Orange Bonnet contest.  Stay after dark and enjoy the craft beer brew off, live music and sunset at the marina.  Form more information go to: http://www.dunedinorangefestival.com.
